About

Welcome

Megan was born in Utah and has lived in Japan, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington, where her family has lived for over 50 years. She is half-Japanese, bilingual, and her family and friends know her as “Momo,” which means peach in Japanese. She began her classical guitar training when she was 7 years old and has been featured on iTunes, accompanied choirs, and rocked out on stage in an all-girl rock band, which was always a dream of hers. With a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specialization in Biomedical Sciences and minors in both Chemistry and Business, she plans to attend medical school to become a doctor. She solo backpacked through 15 countries and has been to 19 countries throughout her life, founding the Live Wonder Freely blog to encourage others to live their dreams. She volunteers at Hope Care Clinic, as a leadership judge for Washington Future Business Leaders of America, Thrive Chelan Valley, and multiple non-profit organizations mentoring youth. She hopes to continue her service to the communities in Washington by empowering youth through education and impacting underserved communities through healthcare.
